About the Role:
The Payroll Administrator supports the Human Resources team by accurately processing payroll, responding to employee inquiries, and completing payroll-related reconciliations. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, this role helps ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while providing responsive and professional customer service.
Success in this role requires payroll and finance experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with financial information, and able to handle sensitive payroll matters with accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
• Process payroll accurately and within established deadlines
• Review payroll information for accuracy and identify discrepancies before processing
• Perform payroll reconciliations using Excel and other financial tools
• Respond to employee emails and support tickets regarding payroll questions and concerns
• Provide professional, timely, and customer-focused assistance to employees
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate complex issues as appropriate
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
• Handle confidential employee and payroll information appropriately
• Collaborate with the payroll and Human Resources teams to resolve payroll-related issues
• Spend approximately 0–25% of each shift handling phone-based communication
Qualifications & Skills
Important Skills:
• Previous payroll processing experience
• Finance or accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reconciliation and data analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies
• Experience working with ticketing systems and email-based support
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information

Compensation
• Starting at $5/hour depending on experience.
• All raises and bonuses are at the discretion of the client.
