Collections Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and organized Former Tenant Collections Specialist to help recover outstanding balances from tenants who have already moved out of our properties.

Responsibilities
Contact former tenants regarding unpaid rent, fees, damages, and other outstanding balances.
Follow up with former tenants by phone, text, and email.
Work with former tenants to arrange payment plans when appropriate.
Keep accurate records of all collection activity and payments.
Follow up consistently on outstanding accounts until they are resolved or escalated.
Update the collection system with notes and account status.
Work with the management team when additional information is needed.
Qualifications
Good communication skills.
Comfortable speaking with people on the phone.
Basic computer skills.
Organized and able to keep track of accounts.
Reliable and able to work independently from home.
Willing to make regular follow-up calls and send messages.
No prior collections experience required; training will be provided.
