Expert in Special Education for Children

We're Hiring: Expert in Special Education for Children (Part-Time, Remote – Philippines)

We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Youth Special Education Teacher/Counselor to join our team as we develop an educational game designed to help children and youth with special learning needs to improve their math and reading skills.
The ideal candidate has experience working with children with ADD/ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a strong understanding of how to create engaging, inclusive, and effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities
• Help in developing educational game concepts and activities focused on math and reading.
• Provide guidance on teaching strategies for children with ADD/ADHD and ASD.
• Recommend age-appropriate, engaging, and accessible learning activities.
• Help ensure that game content supports effective learning styles, abilities, and needs.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure the game effectively supports children’s learning, and make a difference in their lives.

Educational Requirements
Education specializing in Special Education.
Relevant educational backgrounds may include:
• Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd)
• Bachelor degree in Special Education (SPED).
• Degree in Psychology or Child Development.

Equivalent Experience
• Substantial professional experience teaching, tutoring, counseling, or supporting children with ADD/ADHD and/or ASD.
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective strategies for teaching reading and math to children with special learning needs.
• Experience developing educational materials, learning activities, or curriculum for children with diverse learning needs.
• Experience contributing to educational games or digital learning tools is an advantage.

Additional Qualifications
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely and contribute ideas to an educational game development project.
• Passion for making learning accessible, engaging, and inclusive for children.
