About the Role
We are seeking a leadership-driven Financial Controller to act as the department head for Finance. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and oversee comprehensive financial operations, including bookkeeping, budgeting, and payroll. You will play a critical role in ensuring our organizational sustainability and compliance by strictly aligning financial processes with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 10004 standards.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the Finance department head and report directly to the CEO.
Manage daily bookkeeping and accurately track all organizational income and expenditures.
Lead the preparation and allocation of organizational and departmental budgets.
Collaborate effectively with the HR department to manage and execute company payroll.
Extensively utilize Zoho software and other financial tools for management, reporting, and tracking.
Ensure all data management and financial reporting adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 10004 standards.
Actively participate in financial process improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.
Accurately maintain, secure, and store all financial records, ledgers, and payroll data according to company document control and ISO 27001 data security procedures.
Authority & Decision-Making
Approve and mandate departmental financial processes, budget allocations, and bookkeeping practices.
Halt payroll or financial processing if a quality issue, data security risk, or non-conformance is detected.
Exercise ultimate departmental authority over standard expenditure and income approvals prior to CEO escalation.
Qualifications & Competency Requirements
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field is required.
Experience: Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Department Head, or a similar senior role is necessary.
Specialized Experience: Demonstrated experience working with an Australian company is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency and hands-on experience using Zoho software is required.
Operational Skills: A deep understanding of payroll management alongside HR is expected.
