Shape the Future of Animation
Collings Media is seeking an experienced Animator / Illustrator to join our growing creative team.
We are building a next-generation animation pipeline that combines traditional artistic excellence with cutting-edge AI technologies. Our artists work within a hybrid production environment where human creativity, storytelling, and visual craftsmanship are enhanced by AI-assisted workflows to achieve greater efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
This role is ideal for experienced animation professionals who are excited about emerging technologies and want to help define how animation is produced in the years ahead.
Responsibilities
Create high-quality character artwork, poses, expressions, and production assets.
Design and illustrate backgrounds, environments, and supporting visual elements.
Produce artwork suitable for rigging and animation workflows.
Collaborate closely with animators, illustrators, AI specialists, and production leads.
Refine and enhance AI-generated outputs to meet professional production standards.
Maintain visual consistency across characters, environments, and scenes.
Participate in the development of scalable AI-assisted production workflows.
Deliver assets on schedule while maintaining a high level of artistic quality.
Required Qualifications
Professional experience working in an animation studio, production company, game studio, or related creative environment.
Strong illustration and drawing skills with excellent understanding of anatomy, composition, perspective, color, and visual storytelling.
Experience creating assets for animation production.
Experience in compositing.
Proficiency with digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, Illustrator, Toon Boom Harmony, TVPaint, or equivalent software.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Adaptability and willingness to embrace evolving production technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AI image generation tools and workflows.
Familiarity with Stable Diffusion, Flux, ComfyUI, LoRA training, ControlNet, IPAdapter, or similar technologies.
Experience maintaining character consistency across AI-generated imagery.
Understanding of hybrid AI/manual animation pipelines.
Knowledge of production workflows for animated series, films, games, or digital content.

HIRING: LORA SPECIALIST!
About the Role
Collings Media, a multimedia firm based in Melbourne, Australia is looking for a skilled LoRA Specialist to develop, fine-tune, and deploy LoRA models across a range of creative and commercial applications.
You will be responsible for training and optimising LoRA models for image, video, and/or language-based AI systems, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with specific use cases such as content creation, branding, and automation.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the technical side of model training and the creative output expectations.
Responsibilities
- Train and fine-tune LoRA models for image (Stable Diffusion), video, or text-based systems
- Prepare and curate high-quality datasets for model training
- Optimise model performance for accuracy, consistency, and style alignment
- Test, iterate, and refine outputs based on feedback
- Deploy and manage LoRA models across workflows or platforms
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to align outputs with project goals
Requirements
- Proven experience working with LoRA training and fine-tuning
- Strong understanding of Stable Diffusion / generative AI workflows
- Experience with tools such as:
* Automatic1111 / ComfyUI
* Kohya GUI or similar LoRA training frameworks
- Ability to manage datasets (tagging, preprocessing, optimisation)
- Strong attention to detail and output quality
- Ability to work independently and deliver consistently
Bonus Skills
- Experience with video LoRAs or animation pipelines
- Prompt engineering expertise
- Experience with AI influencers / character consistency
- Knowledge of Python or machine learning frameworks
- Experience integrating models into production environments
